Collection of Cahier material from 2005-2008. Including material from long gone internet releases, sold out cd-r’s and even a couple of unreleased songs. Cahier is a solo outfit for Marko Neuman from Candy Cane, Matar, The Breed and many more bands. As this is a collection the material is very diverse: from chaotic rock jams to noisy electronics to subtle piano pieces. Yet as an entity it is strangely coherent. Comes packaged in minimal artwork. Neue Haas Grotesk - s/t CD-r (rypistellyt levyt 002 / Rabbit ilsn 009) 2009
Helsinki-based instrumental improvisational group Neue Haas Grotesk show themselves off as a diverse combo on their first outing. The trio, compromising two guitars and a drumkit, craft everything between droney ambient passages, blissful kraut-jams and crashing noise-rock as easily as Jyrki Nissinen makes up new cultural references and insults. This is pure instrumental anti-rock, utilizing the same rock-instrumentation that got every experimental band in the 60’s to 90’s labeled as prog or post-rock respectively. What will the punters say of Neue Haas Grotesk? Fuck that! Yr nervous-system is about to get a total meltdown from the ecstatic jams on this one.
5 songs in 25 minutes. Hand-made covers with Rorschach inkblot tests on pieces of wallpaper. All individual.
DDRRÅHHNNE & Puiset Heilat -split C40 (rypistellyt levyt 006) 2009
Recorded at the Oranssi-Garage by Shinji Kanki, this release features two sets from the Potlatch-evening on May 2nd 2009.
Ville Suopajärvi’s releases as Puiset Heilat fuse avant folk and noisy guitar manneurisms. At Potlatch though, Suopajärvi brought along only his electric guitar and a tight rhythm section to create a pulsing, driving motorik speedway of sound. While the rhythm section evokes images of Neu, Suopajärvi’s guitar playing reminds us of what is so awesome about noise guitar.
DDRRÅHHNNE consisting of 2/3rds of Neue Haas Grotesk on guitars, clarinet and percussion teaming up with Nobody of the legendary My First Period (Sideffect Records) on drums create brutal intuitive heavy ass noise rock, improvising their way through a cacophonic mass of sound only to find bliss in droning repetitions, screams, chants and bursts of reed.

An instant modern classic solo release from this future genius/god! Total outsider gem. Talk about Burzum and Aqua holding hands in Kari Peitsamo’s obstrusive fantasies/wet dreams! Nothing fancy here: C20 slipped in a mini-grip bag with a paper insert. What the fuck do you expect?
Neue Haas Grotesk - II C35 (rypistellyt levyt 009)
